Maryport

A room with a view!...flats overlooking the harbour.
Ullswater Steamers latest aquistion is "Western Belle" seen here awaiting upgrading before being transported overland to Ullswater Lake.
The marina before the dock gate collapsed sending a 6' high wall of water down the dock causing devastation to the moored yachts.
A short while later...the aftermath of the wave.
The Maryport Inshore Rescue crew can only look on at the dreadful result of the wave.


Silloth

A few miles north of Maryport is Silloth, a small Victorian town with cobbled streets, a promenade and a green.
